Tree House Glamping in Devon
Our stunning treehouse offers truly unique accommodation for 4 adults in 2 kingsize bedrooms. ‘The Beehive’ (so named thanks to a small colony of wild honeybees we are lucky enough to have living in one of our Oak trees) is located surrounded by nature, fields and trees so nobody feels crowded. A perfect escape from the madness! It has been lovingly designed by us and the amazing craftsmen who have built it for us and we know you are going to love it as much as we do. In addition to its well equipped kitchen and shower room, it’s cosy living area and quirky bedrooms it has its own ‘tree-top feel’, al-fresco dining area with fire-pit and pizza oven and, of course, its own beautiful wood-fired hot tub. With easy access from the parking area around a walkway, you reach the entrance to the accommodation and have a real feeling of a house in the trees. In essence, you can expect all the touches and details that matter to make you feel comfortable with space to be either a romantic escape or to share the experience with friends.

We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible but also want you to be able to enjoy the luxury and pleasures of a truly perfect holiday. The actual cabin has been constructed with locally sourced larch and insulated with British lambswool. The power supply the treehouse is entirely solar and propane gas and, as with the shepherd huts, it is run on an entirely ‘off-grid’ system. With this you can be as cosy and comfortable as you could ever wish for. You have a well thought out and equipped kitchen, a lovely shower room with flushing toilet and wash hand basin, hand-built king size beds in the bedrooms with lovely comfy mattresses and heating provided by a beautiful wood burner for those cosy, relaxed evenings. If you prefer you can spend your evening outside enjoying a barbecue on your fire-pit or chilling in our wonderfully crafted wood-fired hot tubs. The choice is yours.
Continuing with the eco-friendly ethos that we feel is so important we also have our own water supply which is brought to you with the aid of a solar pump. Although there are no 3-pin plugs for hairdryers, toasters, microwaves or some of the other things we might have at home we do have DVD players (and a variety of films if you wanted to borrow them), small bluetooth speakers for music and USB charge points for your phones or tablets. There is no wifi or telephone on site (although obviously a multitude of pubs, cafes etc in the surrounding area have access to these if you wanted it). We hope that you are able to enjoy the time for a digital detox and just soak in the peace and nature surrounding you.
On your arrival you will find a welcome basket with all that you need to make a ‘cuppa’ and settle right in. You will also find your lovely king sized bed ready made up and waiting for you, wood to light up your log burner, firepit or hot tub. The en-suite has towels provided and carefully sourced toiletries available for your use**.
