Welcome to Holly Water Holidays website

Holly Water Holidays is an off-grid glamping escape in glorious Mid-Devon. A place for peace, quiet, tranquillity, wood-fired hottubs, Shepherd’s Huts and our very own take on a treehouse. A slice of heaven.

We are Iain and Jane and our family. We are lucky enough to live in beautiful Mid-Devon on a farm. The farm is mainly dairy but we also have a flock of pedigree Dorset sheep. We also keep some traditional breed piggies as well as our pet Kune Kune pigs, a collection of pesky goats, a small fold of beautiful Highland cows and a motley assortment of chickens.

We aim to offer you a wonderful eco-friendly glamping escape in our beautiful countryside and are very proud to hold the Gold award for Green Tourism which recognises our efforts. It is also our aim to be an allergy friendly, low allergen site which has influenced all of our choices since conception from toiletries to bedding, and from cleaning materials to our strict No Pets policy.

Our Shepherd Huts

Our Shepherd huts are positioned in the most beautiful location in rural mid Devon. They provide the perfect romantic retreat and an escape from the demands of everyday life – somewhere to enjoy life’s small and simple pleasures while you recharge your batteries.

Our Tree House Accomodation

Our stunning treehouse offers truly unique accommodation for 4 adults in 2 kingsize bedrooms.Β  It has been lovingly designed by us and the amazing craftsmen who have built it for us and we know you are going to love it as much as we do.

Crediton, about 3 miles away, is our local town and is found right in the heart of Devon. It sits within easy reach of both Exmoor, Dartmoor and both the North Devon and South Devon beaches. It is the perfect place from which to explore our beautiful county.

After the dreadful weather we have had I am taking hope from the Oak trees at the moment! They are definitely further out in leaf than the Ash which hasn't even started! 'Oak before Ash, we're in for a splash, Ash before Oak, we're in for a soak'. I'm reckoning that we've had the soak and just axsplash going forward would be nice. πŸŒžβ˜€οΈπŸŒ¦οΈ #oldsayings #trees #summeriscoming #wavegoodbyetowinter #summerholidays #staycation #farmholidays #glamping #ruralescape #peaceandquiet www.hollywaterholidays.co.uk

After sharing the excessive water the other day I thought I should also share a couple of signs of Spring in the sunshine! The forecast for this weekend was dreadful but nice to see the sun again today after a pretty clear day yesterday too! Please let this be the start of better weather to come. The trees are budding and the Devon banks are well scattered with our county flowers, Primroses! Beautiful. ☺️ #summerdreaming #Spring. #Devonbank #countryescape #promiseofthingstocome

Holly Water Holidays
The Holly Water River runs along the bottom of our fields, hence our name. It is not a huge or long river. It starts around Pennymoor, just about 5 miles from us ( admittedly probably a little further as the river goes) and is a tributary of the Creedy which it joins shortly after us. Usually the river water is not actually visible from the huts or the treehouse. Through the Autumn and Winter it will rise quickly after heavy rain and sometimes come out of its banks but generally falls quite quickly too. This year it has been incredible and almost consistently visible with the high rainfall that we have all been experiencing throughout the last few months. All I can do is apologize for the weather and look forward to some sunshine. Meanwhile I was very reluctant to leave The Beehive with its cosy fire ready for incoming guests! #britishweather #rainydays #river #summerdreaming #logburner #cosyindoors #glamping #treehouse #shepherdhuts #rollonsummer @coolstays @hostunusual @campingdirectory
